And Matty McLean/Sacha McNeil hosting Seven Sharp.
It’s the NZ TV awards tonight.
It should be Newshub’s night at the awards.
I really hope that they do a relaunch of Breakfast next year, Jenny Suo, Matty, Melissa Stokes or Scotty and Chris Chang have really good chemistry together and I think it would be beneficial to have this lot rotate as it keeps it fresh
Wow, what a surprise.
Just entering into their weather segment (November 26), they lost sound and pictures and screen went black. Seconds later, they abruptly ended the bulletin at 6:56pm and went straight to Primetime Lingo.
Interesting to see RNZ are now dipping into TVNZ’s camera feeds - little One News bug added by RNZ’s video people it seems. Merger incoming?
No surprise there. Another one of Yuri’s cohort gone.
Do we know if they’re going to be doing anything with Breakfast for 2023? I know they only recently had their new set - I’m thinking more presenter-wise. It seems like they need a reset with a new team after the year they’ve had.
Breakfast/Midday ends this Friday, looks like Tonight continues until next Thursday.
Little cameo by Simon Dallow during Shortland Street’s season finale tonight.
Same here.
Judging by the content that usually passes for the Breakfast show these days, I don’t.
I have no idea what that show is meant to be any more, who’s fronting it etc.
This used to be my thinking especially as I would more likely have time to watch it over the summer holidays. I think it is too late now to do this with a decreasing FTA audience.
This is also why! It has turned into an unusual show with an unusual presenting line up.
Yes, its extremely odd having a national breakfast show (anywhere in the world) close down over the summer months.
What do they replace their schedules with during this time?
Reruns of a British home improvement or travel shows usually.
But TVNZ 2 sister channel to TVNZ 1 airing reruns of British reality and home improvement series such as Kirstie Phil’s Love It and List It and Rich House, Poor House that recently screened new episodes on 1 and channel 2 is replaying Your Home Made Perfect which is a weird fit for the network which usually suited programming for youth audiences.
