On This Day

IIRC, there was a major scandal coming out of that show involving contestants not being paid their winnings (or something to that effect)?

And mentions that the show was rigged with the Bingo cards you would had gotten from the website or the Newspaper were always one off. In fact I remember watching it live in 2007 and in my opinion would make a good video essay topic.

Were people still watching All Saints by the time it ended?

IMO, moving the show to the later 9:30pm timeslot on Tuesday nights (previously 8:30pm) accelerated the end of the show.

I remember they revamped the show towards the end of the 00s due to declining ratings and the like.

They moved it to a medical rescue format with helicopters going out to locations to pick up patients etc so not just at the emergency department. It still averaged 1.1 million viewers in its final season down from a maximum average of 1.6. It was the last of the Australian dramas that would go for a full year 40 odd episodes a year. Packed to the Rafters etc had 20 odd episode seasons and I could be wrong but I think the seasons were split so half the season would be shown 1 year with the other half broadcast the following year.

IIRC, Kelly Cavuoto and Axle Whitehead (both alumni from the first season of Australian Idol) lost their jobs at Ten as a result of their behaviour at this event.

This was about the time that there were a few 3D movies in cinemas as well. Including the rather bad Jaws 3D
