and it’s still not available terrestrially in regional areas (yes, I understand the reasons why)
Based on the UK version, this Aussie remake was cancelled after dismal ratings. Two episodes aired before being yanked off air. The remaining eight aired during Summer 2002/03.
Quite forgettable, as was Racket.

And over the years, it aired on there, as well as now-defunct pay TV movie channel Movie Extra and SBS 2 (now SBS Viceland)
It’s always odd seeing The Age Green Guide every single week under every day’s listings with “Please note: 7flix is not available in regional areas”.
Probably from 2016. Yet it’s been available in many regionals since 2017 and other channels that have launched prior or after aren’t available completely regionally and in some cases everywhere, yet no mention…
Editor Paul Kalina needs to update. It only took them 6 or 7 years to remove the “AV15+” classification legend which went at the end of 2015!
Pretty sure nobody in the regional areas care or even notice they don’t have 7Flix. They aren’t missing anything…
Actually, former Prime/GWN areas have had 7flix since becoming Seven O&O’s but SCA7 areas don’t carry the channel.
Prime regions got it in 2017, prior to becoming O&O, while GWN still don’t have it.
I remember checking the old publicly accessible weekly RegionalTAM reports a few times and 7flix actually seemed to rate pretty well (for the new channel and comparatively) in some markets, but was let down in others. IIRC it did/does really well in Queensland, but poorly in Victoria, likewise Brisbane and Melbourne respectively I think.
Although TBF it launched earlier in Qld (7 O&O) vs Vic (Prime) and the former (7QLD) also dominates in general, but as does Prime.
13 April 1963: Famous jazz musician Louis Armstrong performs a one-off show recorded at the studio of GTV9 as part of his Australian tour. Estimated to cost £7000, the BP Super Show special is reported to be the costliest one-hour of television produced to date in Australia.

13 April 1987: Melbourne’s HSV7, now under the management of Sydney-based media group Fairfax, launches its new one-hour Seven National News — with Greg Pearce replacing Mal Walden, who had been abruptly sacked several weeks earlier in the Fairfax-led revamp. The change to Seven’s news bulletin prompts all Victorian regional stations to switch their national news relay to National Nine News, which was now the only commercial half-hour news bulletin from Melbourne.
13 April 1994: A Country Practice makes its debut on Network Ten after being axed by Seven at the end of 1993. The shift to Ten led to a mostly new cast with only a handful of the former cast, and a shift in production from Sydney to Melbourne. The revamp was not to be a success, and A Country Practice on Ten only lasted one series.
Greg and the 1 hour format was axed by the end of the year.
Also lead to the bulletin rating zero - was beaten by children’s shows on ABC and ethnic programming on SBS.
Turns out SBS were really knocking at the door.
SBS was showing UK soap Brookside at 6.00, and World News at 6.30.
Without knowing for certain. I have a gut feeling that on the night in question NBN may have shown a replay of the Newcastle Knights vs Canberra Raiders match from the previous Sunday. 1992 was the year the Knights first made the semi finals. But don’t hold me to this. Have tried Googling it and have drawn a blank

Proved again that having a great cast isn’t enough to save a terrible show.
