At 6pm AEDT for NSW. No advice for QLD.
The Courier Mail reports that lightning hit Suncorp Stadium.
As expected league bumped to 9Gem in Queensland.
Game starts 6:00 PM local
Coverage finished 6:30 PM local AEST

The Post midnight rating for the Ashes game was 89,000; there were still a couple of thousand watching in Perth. Not a bad result - more than were watching 10 at 8.30pm!

I wonder if Cricket Australia has attempted to trademark the “Ashes” brand? It just doesn’t sound right when used in conjunction with another sport.
It has been trademarked since 1998 but just for cricket only.
So if any ENG/AUS come up any other sport, they can brand it that way (with sport name tacked in.)
Heck, we will have two rugby Ashes tonight at 1a AEDT.

Was 11.20pm last week, will now be 12.20am (1.20am down here).
Err, no. UK moved their clock back one hour at 2am their time on October 26.
Basically here is what that looks like. Top AEDT, bottom BST.
The gap extends to 11 hours as a result.

An amazing (IMO) 166,000 watched the second Ashes test at 1:20 AM AEDT including 37,000 in Sydney and 64,000 in Brisbane (12:20 AM).

So added up, that is 65,000 in ADE/PER/MEL + regionals (as corrected below).
If anything, Perth should have done the best considering they have the most favorable timeslot at 10:30!
