There’s a chance tonight gets close to Alcaraz v de Minaur’s audience and potentially outrates this weekend’s women’s and men’s final.
Quite rare. My most recent memory of a 5 set epic men’s semi at the AO is probably 2017’s where Rafa Nadal overcame Gregor Dimitrov at I think around midnight on that Friday.
Channel 7 had over 1.4m metro broadcast from memory (not including regional or 7Tennis app), but some might recall the pre-coding was 1995 Sandra Bullock thriller “The Net”, which I remember Mediaweek incorrectly posted on Twitter as the day’s top program with a still from the film, LOL.
And that’s forgetting about tonight’s original feature of Sinner vs Djokovic!

Doubt it. It will have to last until Perth, which is 0% happening.
But Djokovic/Sinner will start on 9 nationally and then move to Gem in Perth for set 2.

Wow. We are tied 5-5. 
Alcaraz has the advantage lead. 6-5. One more point to get him to the Final.
Zverev needs a point to take this to a tiebreak decider for the game.
Nine would be totally be over the moon with this epic 5 setter (and the boost to Gem’s ratings/Shares in some cities).
And a later start than usual to the Djokovic Sinner match that follows. In which is suppose to finish at 11pm aedt.
