Nine Tennis Coverage

The United Cup is going the distance today. Coverage was suppose to wrap up by 4.30pm (and go to Find my Beach House Aus), but the doubles stayed on the Main Channel until 5pm, before switching to 9Gem (and cutting the film Count of Monte Cristo short). There is one set to go before the day session wraps up. With Night Coverage supposed to start at 5.30pm, I would imagine that would be delayed by a short time.

And there was a 30 minute earlier start to the coverage today too due to extreme heat in Sydney.

AO Tournament Director (since 2006!) Craig Tiley told Seven News in a report tonight that it is likely they will do something for the Victorian bushfires. I’d also be surprised if they didn’t for Bondi as well.

I mean a mention or something but they probably won’t do a specific fundraiser match.

Looks like they just went with the world feed now that Australia wasn’t featuring.

Sylvia Jeffreys replacing Roz Kelly. Seems a bit of a strange decision to me.

Was sure Danika Mason would get the gig.

Although one thing I will say is, having seen her host m/c feed for Paris Olympics and last year’s AO, she does appear confident and regardless if she’s into sports or not is able to present fluently, naturally and even ad lib. So perhaps that’s why. Could also be to get more use from her network contract, Today Extra. Wonder if we’ll see her hosting the Winter Olympics next month then?

It’s already been announced she will be, as she did for the Paris games (she was on the 9Gem coverage):
