I believe she’s just had a baby.
She has only just given birth, so spending some quality time with her little one.
Great match between Kokkinakis and Argentina’s Tomás Etcheverry at Memorial Drive in Adelaide right now on 9Gem, his home crowd riding every shot, so loud, keeping the Aussie in it I reckon.
1 set a piece, 5 all in the deciding set.
Would’ve made good viewing on the main channel, surprised it wasn’t scheduled there TBH.
He won this tournament of course in 2022, on the eve of the Aus Open of which also had Ash Barty win the thing as well as Rafa Nadal winning to boot and the Special Ks. A year we are unlikely to see again for a long time.
3 sets, 3 hours… You don’t even see stuff like that very often at all at the Open or Grand Slams in general!
Which match was this? The Kokkinakis match only had 1 tiebreak in the final set.
Considering you managed to get a cap, I’m assuming you know the answer?
I saw it on a raw 9now feed but no did not appear to be on FTA at least.
On social media somebody mentioned Nine aired a ‘history of Australian Open’ promo or something? Also apparently it neglected to show 2014 champion cult fan fave Li Na.
That’s a lot of adjectives.
Were they expected to show every winner?
Not sure, I think the person who posted online was unfortunately going with a racism angle or something (them clearly stating such not me)
I loved Li Na but yeah, doesn’t seem necessary to show every winner.
Her speeches and her husband, so funny too
Why are Nine (9GO) currently replaying last night’s match? I just tuned in, to see a “last night” watermark on. A gap in the schedule?
I’m pretty sure the next match is WTA so yes there is a slight gap.
Players are on centre court now.
Short break, indeed. Thankfully.
Because of this, ran well over:
They were also replaying last night’s match for anyone who might’ve missed, it was a 3hr+ 3 set epic that included two tie breaks, one went to 11-9 with the crowd electric.

Tonight’s Adel Int’l telecast on 9Gem went nearly 1 hour overtime tonight, due to the delayed matches. John Fitzgerald did an on court interview and then host Nick McArdle previewed tomorrow’s final matches and a reminder of the AO with a montage ender. Scheduled movie “It’s Complicated” started late.
