Great match between Kokkinakis and Argentina’s Tomás Etcheverry at Memorial Drive in Adelaide right now on 9Gem, his home crowd riding every shot, so loud, keeping the Aussie in it I reckon.
1 set a piece, 5 all in the deciding set.
Would’ve made good viewing on the main channel, surprised it wasn’t scheduled there TBH.
He won this tournament of course in 2022, on the eve of the Aus Open of which also had Ash Barty win the thing as well as Rafa Nadal winning to boot and the Special Ks. A year we are unlikely to see again for a long time.

Why are Nine (9GO) currently replaying last night’s match? I just tuned in, to see a “last night” watermark on. A gap in the schedule?
I’m pretty sure the next match is WTA so yes there is a slight gap.

They were also replaying last night’s match for anyone who might’ve missed, it was a 3hr+ 3 set epic that included two tie breaks, one went to 11-9 with the crowd electric.

Tonight’s Adel Int’l telecast on 9Gem went nearly 1 hour overtime tonight, due to the delayed matches. John Fitzgerald did an on court interview and then host Nick McArdle previewed tomorrow’s final matches and a reminder of the AO with a montage ender. Scheduled movie “It’s Complicated” started late.
