From this Monday, Michelle will host weekdays 1pm to 3pm on Brisbane’s 4BH, Sydney’s 2UE and Melbourne’s Magic 1278.
It says her role was made redundant at ARN. So what does that mean for “local workdays” on KIIS1023?
Local as in “in-studio local”? Or local as in “voicetracked from another market”?

As mentioned in the Nine Radio (Talk) thread, Nine is selling Magic, 2UE and 4BH to businessman Arthur Laundy.
It will be interesting to see if ACE Radio’s lease of the three stations will continue under the new owner, when the sale is completed later this year.

Tabcorp has owned 2KY for years, and the station consistently promotes TAB as a result. Likewise, SEN and RSN are, in practice, heavily reliant on revenue generated through partnerships and advertising deals with corporate bookmakers.
Laundy is primarily involved in hospitality rather than gambling — although I understand the point you’re making given his involvement in licensed venues.
According to James Manning in Mumbrella:
It is expected that Laundy will continue the leasing arrangement for the AM music stations to Ace Radio, perhaps even entering a negotiation to sell the stations to Ace Radio, which has previously confirmed to Mumbrella its interest in acquiring Magic, 2UE and 4BH.
Hope they sell them to ACE to secure their future a bit. Talk station operators are notorious for neglecting their music stations to focus on their talk stations. Or even worse they deliberately sabotage them in the false hope of moving audience onto their talk stations - which never works. (Eg. Macquarie Sport and Talking Lifestyle debacles)
Listening to 2UE five minutes ago - in the middle of a commercial break, a news update for the “South West” goes to air - couple of stories focused on Bunbury & Busselton, sport, then weather for Bunbury, Busselton and Margaret River. …was about 2 mins in length. Then back to normal programming.

Once again, more nonsense from Radioinfo. Nine (and soon the Laundys) are still seen by ACMA to have control of the 2UE/3EE/4BH licences irrespective of them being leased to Ace.
I wonder what will happen after the 10 year lease expires then?
