6am and 6.30am AEDT start respectively, both lasting two hours. Should do wonders for viewership.

Today’s still there to force 9Gem coverage, right?

Today is probably off-air or move to 9Gem as they did during the Paris Olympics.

Interestingly, Nine will be differentiating the offerings on 9Now (focusing on Nine’s TV coverage + highlights) and Stan Sport (offering every sport and every moment) in a manner they didn’t do for Paris 2024 whereby every event of every sport could be streamed on both platforms.

Probably treat Summer Olympics in the same way they treat the Australian Open (everything on 9Now and Stan Sport), while Winter Olympics like the other Grand Slams (limited on 9Now but everything on Stan Sport).

A lot of Winter Olympics tie-in promos and tie-ins, was even a 2026 - tennis - Milan Cortina one with I think Aussie athlete Jakara Anthony. As seen during the Carols tonight.

There are events happening on the 5th and 6th.

Nine airing the film The Will To Fly tonight, a 2016 doco on Aussie champ Lydia Lassila and the Winter Olympic movement here, it’s a really good piece. Can’t recall if it’s been on TV before. Nine continuing cross-promotion ahead of Milan-Cortina 2026.
