That background made me think that the nine network is planning to shift the headquarters to Brisbane. A current affair did have the Brisbane skyline as background

Presumably they now get graphics updates when QLD get’s them as NBN’s control room is in Brisbane. I assume that Darwin will also get the graphics tonight as during DST they use the same control room as NBN.

Gold Coast uses the same control room as Brisbane, so presumably the same day as Brisbane.

Weird then that NBN News got them when Brisbane didn’t. Unless NBN is now being switched somewhere else?

Any reason why the quality is so poor if it’s coming from “state of the art” studios.
Maybe only $$$ enough left in the budget for a 480p webcam and ribbon cable

It’s a zoomed in portion of a rooftop camera being projected onto a screen being recorded by the studio cameras displayed through your TV or device. There is always going to be a loss of quality regardless of how good the original shot is.

Interested to see if Brisbane gets a webcam for the afternoon news this year instead of a static shot.
Melbourne seems to have dropped the headline recap midway through the afternoon bulletin.

It’s weird that the national bulletins have the new graphics, but Brisbane and Perth still don’t. All metro markets, Darwin and NBN News should’ve all got the new graphics a couple of weeks ago. I don’t understand why it’s a staggered rollout.
