Damianâs report was labelled an exclusive. Probably wouldnât have gotten those details with a junior, regional reporter.
Thatâs an odd assumption to make and a little insulting to those regional reporters who wouldâve cultivated local contacts during their time in their roles.

Sure, but experience helps right? To your point, obviously metro reporters are going to get precedence over regional reporters on a metro bulletin. Generally, regional reporters are there to fill any gaps at the moment.

For the second week it seems the Gold Coast news will not a have a sports presenter.
I agree. Letâs not forget that Damian Ryan wonât be around forever, so it makes sense for Nine to build the profiles of some of their better regional talent especially since one of the original regional reporters (Grace Fitzgibbon) has since become a Sydney news reporter!

A total waste of resources to dispatch an experienced reporter from Sydney for a story about an escaped toddler that was quickly returned. It was an exclusive because nobody else cared about it. Not even WIN bothered to cover it and it happened a few kilometres from Television City. No wonder the newsrooms are facing cutbacks and they canât afford to pay Karl what he deserves.
