I think Nine and Seven would actually spend millions promoting their news services (especially in the big ticket markets of Sydney and Melbourne), with the others spending considerably less but still some - the public broadcasters of course likely to focus most of their news promotional efforts on their own TV & radio networks.
Up until relatively recently, the promotional efforts of most regional news services rivaled Ten’s!

Justine returned from holidays at the end of February and continues to be a reporter,she removed reference to being 9 news weather presenter from her Twitter 2 or 3 weeks ago.

Mark Burrows is presenting Morning News and Afternoon News in Sydney.
At the risk of being hammered by SydneyCityTV, I think Mark’s presenting skills have improved a lot. Much more natural and less unnecessary pauses.
