I don’t think anyone ended up mentioning this but Reid Butler from ACA has been filing reports for Nine News in Victoria about the bushfires for the last few weeks.

First time I think I’ve seen him doing so for Nine News.

Next week will be interesting though, presumably Mark Burrows now that Deb has seemingly been demoted?

Of course there’s always the possibility that Georgie Gardner will be be back from Sunday (personally I doubt this though - she’d probably only get one week of Sunday to Thursday before Pete’s 2020 return), but I still reckon GG’s “official” return to Nine News Sydney will be on Friday January 24 because it makes sense to tie that in with Pete’s 2020 return and Cam’s stint of presenting Sport in Melbourne for the Australian Open…

I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s tomorrow night. Jayne is starting her maternity leave, Deb Knight starts her new radio job on Monday, Mark Burrows is probably on holidays as he wasn’t presenting at all last week.

I still reckon it’ll be next Sunday, because Pete usually takes six weeks off over Summer - so far he’s been away for five.

That’s without taking into consideration the fact January 19 will be Australian Open Eve and (probably) also the night Nine News will launch their new graphics.
