Yes, I believe youâre right. I am a regular viewer of Nine News Sydney and I donât recall ever seeing Michael present a bulletin since then. I could be wrong though. Coincidentally, I happen to have a recording of his brief stint on Nightline. Generally, I agree with the consensus that he is a good presenter, but he lacks compassion. Personally, I think he would be great at anchoring a late night news service or a returned Nightline.
Edit: I just read Marinerâs post. Interesting that he has presented another Nine News bulletin in recent times.

I always find it hard to take Natalia Cooper seriously when she is presenting, for some reason. Most of the time when she is on Today, she is always giggling and having a laugh, which isnât a bad thing at all. However, I think it also ruins her reputation as being a serious newsreader, as she typically participates in informal conversations, content etc rather than presenting news bulletins on a regular basis. Donât get me wrong, I believe Natalia does a great job at presenting and her stints on Today have always been enjoyable, however I just canât really take to her when she is the newsreader.
Maybe itâs just me.

Davina Smith is now off on maternity leave, she is expected to return in 6 months time.
On Afternoon News today Livinia Nixon wished her well on behalf of the network,and on Today Extra this morning she was presented with flowers and good wishes from David and Sonia.

[/quote] Thanks for the info but it wouldnât surprise me if Davina didnât return to the Morning/Afternoon News. Wendy Kingston and Amelia Adams both never returned to the role after going on maternity leave. I would assume that Amelia Adams will do the Morning/Afternoon News in Davinaâs place, and I would put Amber Sherlock/ Natalia Cooper/ Jayne Azzopardi on Nine News Now.

Deb Knight is returning to Weekend Today next week, we could definitely see Amelia Adams take over Nine Morning News and Nine Afternoon News whilst Davina Smith is on maternity leave.

Doesnât Amelia Adams currently present Nine News Now? Presuming that she takes over the role of Morning/Afternoon News presenter, I wonder who would present Nine News Now?
Of course, Iâm sure that Deborah Knight will retain her role as the third in line (behind Pete & GG, of course) presenter of Nine News Sydney and maybe fill-in on the Morning/Afternoon News from time to time.

[/quote] Thatâs for sure. Interesting how Georgie was away last week (if she was on holidays surely she could have waited for two weeks for Deb to return. As I mentioned above I assume Deb will return to do the Morning and Afternoon News on most Friday.
Deb is just easing back into work! You wonât see her doing anything other than Weekend Today for a while! She didnât do Fridayâs permanently for well over a year anyway.

[/quote] That was in 2014.IIRC, Deb did most Fridays of the Morning and Afternoon News right up until she went on maternity leave in 2012, 2013 and 2015.
Checking the Adelaide stream, it was Brett McLeod who presented Nine News: First At Five for the AFL states today!

I think Amelia should do Morning News and Nine News Now and Amber should do Afternoon News.
The afternoon news only airs in Sydney doesnât it? It would make sense for a Sydney personality to present it.
Iâm pretty sure that Nineâs Afternoon News airs in full in NSW and Victoria while I think SA and WA get the first hour before switching to their local bulletin at 5pm but Iâd have to check on that!
Also, Erin Molan presented Sport on Nine News Sydney tonight.
Justine Conway presented weather in Melbourne this weekend.
Georgie was in San Francisco with Deborah Hutton doing promotional work for a bed & breakfasrt company.
