Apologies for the crudity of MS Paint, but a few small tweaks working with what GC already has wouldn’t be impossible to help bring it more in line with the metro look. Namely, replacing those hideous backlit blue panels around the screen with the same shiny red perspex on the metro sets.
A lick of grey paint to tone down the blue overload, some strip lights to replicate the metro screen base, and you’re pretty much set!
Today was Davina Smith’s last bulletin for 9News, moving to A Current Affair in Queensland next year.
Maggie Raworth presented the weather, a small package was played for Davina at the end of the bulletin.
The afternoon news in Sydney will now look a lot different, Davina was one of my favourite presenters in Sydney.
