Brief excerpt from article. Doesn’t give any details or reasons.
In a snap meeting called by management, staff were told on Thursday afternoon it would be Queensland News Director Amanda Paterson’s final day with the company.
The meeting was called by Nine’s TV news boss Fiona Dear in which she would not reveal why Ms Paterson was leaving but that it was a “private matter” and she couldn’t say why.
The announcement was made while Ms Paterson had been in the office all day, before disappearing.
