The special brings together key figures from Irwin’s life, including the TV producer and manager John Stainton who discovered his footage and launched his global career; right-hand wildlife teammate Brian “Briano” Coulter; high school friend Chris White; former Animal Planet head Clark Bunting; world champion surfer, friend and fan Kelly Slater; and country music legend and friend John Williamson.
Steve Irwin: A Wild Life traces Irwin’s journey from catching wild crocodiles in Queensland alongside his father Bob to building Australia Zoo and achieving unscripted global stardom. It is a candid look at his pioneering “conservation through entertainment” mission, the intense public scrutiny he faced, and the global legacy carried on by his family today.

With no Thursday Night NRL, we see some Tipping Point 70 Years Special in the 7.30pm slot on the main channel across the board.
NBL Round 1 gets a main channel airing on Saturday night (in some cities)? I didn’t expect that. Assuming it will be a once off, as the rest will probably be on9Gem?

NBL said “A selection of marquee games will be broadcast on Channel 9” back in April. Not sure how they describe a selection but I’d assume the 5:30pm games most weeks aren’t getting main channel treatment.
