Nine Network - Programs and Schedules

Something I notice under 9GO!

Upcoming Key Titles: NBL, Baywatch.

I wonder if it is the original Baywatch, or the reboot that is scheduled to premiere in America in January 2027.

BOY GEORGE & CULTURE CLUB: ONE OF THE MOST INFLUENTIAL BANDS OF THE 80S UNCOVERED*

AIRING THIS SUNDAY AT 8.00PM ON CHANNEL 9 AND 9NOW

For an intimate, behind-the-scenes look at one of the 1980s’ most influential bands, tune into Boy George & Culture Club, airing this Sunday at 8.00pm on Channel 9 and 9Now.

Directed by Alison Ellwood, this documentary follows the meteoric rise of the group that redefined pop culture with their boundary-pushing sound and style. Featuring rare and personal insights from band members Boy George, Roy Hay, Mikey Craig, and Jon Moss, audiences are taken beyond global hits like “Karma Chameleon” and “Do You Really Want to Hurt Me” to explore the complex dynamics that fueled the band’s success.

Tracing the band’s formation in 1981, the documentary delves into internal tensions and the hidden romantic relationship between frontman Boy George and drummer Jon Moss. It also candidly addresses Boy George’s well-documented personal struggles, his influence on the New Romantic movement, media scrutiny, and his journey through addiction to public redemption.

Don’t miss this all access pass to the band that changed pop forever, in Boy George & Culture Club airing this Sunday at 8.00pm on Channel 9 and 9Now.

It’s quite surprising and stark that Nine don’t have a tentpole major show/reality in Q2-Q3 this year, but one could argue they wanted to avoid the World Cup. As well as having the French Open and Wimbledon anyway.

Even though Seven have persisted with Farmer, maybe only off the back of another successful Queens Birthday AFL/Big Freeze and lack of FTA competition.

While 10’s MasterChef always goes on forever, much like The Block, especially without Thursday episodes anymore.

That’s not during the night, I feel they would want to avoid the 10 days of Commonwealth Games in late July - it won’t be Olympics numbers, but should still do well for 7 & win the night almost every day

I mean, SHARK! flopped tbh so it’s not from a lack of trying

SHARK was a bit of stunt programming - only 2 weeks and 6 episodes.

They seem to be relying on more shorter series, a bit like Seven, Travel Guides and sport.

A bit off topic here, but remember Nine weren’t even interested in bidding for it. I’d say not even on their radar. Birmingham, both the spectacle itsself and ratings sucked ass, so good luck.

I hope it won’t be again and I mean I’ve always enjoyed the Comm Games and love my sport, but I did not enjoy the last one at all like I did say Gold Coast 2018 nor all the Summer Olympics and Winter Olympics of the past decade. Let’s face it, it’s been on the decline for 20 years, Melbourne 2006 and Gold Coast aside for obvious reasons.

Interesting… Nine has picked up The Rings of Power tv series to be screened soon

Perhaps Nine is showing the first two seasons of The Rings of Power (16 episodes in total) in the lead up to the release of season 3 on Prime Video this November?
