Strange timing since they have just installed this on the new building… sure it’s not a talkback rebrand?
Am i just seeing things or are other larger letter there but not lighted up?
Certain. Hearing it’s a simplified logo that incorporates the QMS brand, which will no longer exist in New Zealand from June as it will become MediaWorks OOH. I don’t know about the talkback rebrand - there could be one too?
Huge cost to rebrand a company, especially if it’s just the corporate side of the business. But it seems to be the thing that new CEOs like to do, to leave their own mark (Mark Weldon certainly did haha).
Not sure what the point was adding him to the station, from when I listened he almost came across as disinterested in being there. Just my opinion though.
Would have been good to have Angelina Grey return on drive with a music focused show. But good to see Tracey Donaldson remaining.
Will be an interesting show, I suspect more lively and opinionated than what it was before.
His show on Coast is voice tracked so doesn’t do it live, that will probably continue.
Bit of a shame, seemed to be one of the more motivated council members.
100% Agree!
Going by the comments sounds like he went on to courier driving after leaving The Hits!
Yes, he did. Which I thought was a bit strange at the time and wondered if he left on his own terms. That must have definitely been the case. A rare thing in local radio these days!
Was definitely on his own terms, I can confirm.
Callum and P rated their socks off but he wanted a change but evidently found it’s not for him.
Hopefully they can lift the share a bit. I see the Breakfast club has a 10.6 share and Doug and P close behind on 10.4. So More FM have finally gained a bit in the market, and they have done it without actually employing any local announcers across the day. Where as the Hits in Dunedin is local 6am-3pm.
Yep. That’s a fair point. I believe in terms of revenue share NZME makes up for it but I may be wrong.
PJ is doing her show from the More FM studios in Wairarapa, where she is now living. Good for MediaWorks to have her there.
Hah just saw that an about to post it!
Guessing that after Kiis she’s not likely to do a big radio gig again then…
I was kind of wishing they would do a on air marathon
As she is using a mediaworks studio do you think she will move to mediaworks?
Doubt it.
It’s probably just that they had studio space in the town and NZME don’t.
Caitlin still works with ZM right?
