Rhemaâs suite of stations have appeared today on Freeviewâs listings. Dunno if theyâre live on that platform yet, havenât bothered to tune in to find out!

Quite a fall from grace for Stables, who used to be one of the most popular DJâs in the country, first on The Edge and then later on ZM. He was almost on Hauraki too in 2010, but that fell through (as explained why in the story). I think his media career started to tail off after that.
Not really the best platform for that audience though is it? (Same comments also apply for Gold).
I think that that particular generation wants to hear the music they know and like on the radio, not have to setup and listen to a livestream.

Agreed, I also think the same comments could apply to Magic and Gold as well - theyâre all former on-air stations, now reduced to streaming online. I think for the likes of sports fans theyâre probably not going to stream a station, theyâre more likely to stream whatever the event is online and watch it instead.
Gold and Magic are different due to their formats; in that scenario people are more likely to stream them and listen, but the audience (compared to their former terrestrial selves) is likely to be far smaller.
Gold and Magic are very low cost and wouldnât be chewing much out of the bottom lines of NZME/Mediaworks anymore given the lack of on air costs. Sport Nation canât say the same, however there is an audience for commentary - especially cricket.

I understand that The Rock has started broadcasting to Australia (beginning with Brisbane via DAB+ and a live stream on Nova), but asked a question regarding The Morning Rumble.
The reason The Morning Rumble starts at the slightly earlier time of 4am AEST/AEDT in Australia is because the show is broadcast live in real-time from New Zealand (where it begins at its usual time of 6am NZST/NZDT). Because New Zealand is two hours ahead of Brisbane (AEST), listeners tuning into the Nova Player app or DAB+ hear the live feed exactly as it happens over the Tasman.
During the summer months when daylight saving time is active, New Zealand (NZDT) shifts to being three hours ahead of Brisbane (AEST, which does not observe daylight saving). This means the live show would broadcast even earlier for local Queenslanders at 3am AEST.
The early start for The Morning Rumble aligns with the schedule of âtradiesâ and early risers in Australia.
