Not news - but a revival
ITV’s new format not doing well.
Saw the first two episodes, it is a bit shit. The casting, in particular, was not great.
Wordle the TV show will be part of NBC’s 2026-27 midseason schedule, with Today’s Savannah Guthrie as host.
Wow the cupboards must be nearly empty given the amount of TV shows they’re making with these games.
Can’t wait for them to make Monopoly the TV Show the next big thing.
How does this differ from the UK’s Lingo?
Or is it a US version
Maybe it’s the same show with diffrrent branding. They’ve had four different American versions of Lingo dating back to 1987.
The last two were hosted by comedian Bill Engvall (2011) and Ru Paul (2023).
I’m thinking Uno. Or Solitare. Or Dominoes.

I would be curious, given technology these days whether it will be possible for a game show to have a home viewer compete in a game show.
Imagine a concept where a home viewer played against 2 or 3 contestants on a Sale Of The Century reboot.
Sounds like The Family from Fahrenheit 451 (the movie, not the book).
What rules do they play by 
Zoom Sale of the Century? sponsored by whom? Superloop? Aussie Broadband? TPG? eBay? Temu? Amazon?
Although the Team Challenge weeks would probably be incredibly difficult to stage if a network actually took the format down that route…can you guess why?
Sale Of The Century was an example where under normal play conditions it could work. Before you look at integrating the concept into a show, you would consider the limitations it creates to game play.
This idea is just to give the appearance to the home viewer it is live.
Broadcasting a game show live at the time its broadcast would be another option that could be used for a game show.
