After taking on India in their opening Asian Cup match, the Subway Socceroos face Syria in their second of three group stage matches.
The Socceroos are a strong chance to go deep in the tournament, but face a tough battle with Syria in this must-win match. Can Graham Arnold’s side show their worth and take all three points in this match up against world #91?
It appears that this match has gone back to being a Paramount+ exclusive, with nothing showing up in the TV guide and references to Channel 10 coverage being dropped from the Socceroos Twitter posts.
The Subway Socceroos tackle world number #68 Uzbekistan in their third and final group stage match of the AFC Asian Cup. Having beaten Uzbekistan in the 2019 Asian Cup Round of 16 on penalties, the Socceroos will be hunting for the win to ensure they advance to the Round of 16 matches at this year’s tournament.
They’re not really promoting the Asian cup given Australia has a good chance. There’s no hype building. At least they’ll have a presence on the ground with the call.
Agree 100%. Am not sure why they’re not promoting this at all either. Zero hype. We just need a few random ads here and there, instead of the same ads over and over again (Gladiators and Deal or No Deal). There seems more of a discussion in this forum than on 10’s platforms.
This Saturday (13 January), 10Bold is showing a double header from Allianz Stadium (as part of the United Round):
4.30pm: Central Coast v Melbourne Victory
7.30pm: Adelaide v Sydney FC
Sunday 14 January (10Bold)
4.30pm: A-League Women’s: Western United v Sydney FC
The second match to air on FTA from this season. The first being from the opening round.
I can’t find the Qatar v Lebanon game on demand on P+ yet. I imagine it will take some time to upload it but at least a 2-3min highlights package within 2 hours of the final whistle shouldn’t be that difficult since literally every other football streaming service can do it. Doesn’t give me much hope for the rest of the tournament or the Socceroos game tonigt.
Looks like they’re using the larger football set rather than usual smaller shoebox. Much longer and wide shots rather than the tight ones used on A league coverage.
Simon Hill and Andy Harper on the ground for the call. Weird looking mic flags.
