Network Ten and Paramount+ Football coverage

With the Socceroos now third in their group, when approx will the date and neutral venue be announced for the late May/early June one legged Asian playoff for 5th between each groups 3rd place nation(currently Australia v UAE with 4 rounds to go), and the date of the draw for the 4 nation confederation playoffs to determine which confederation meets which confederation in the 2 x two legged playoffs and fixture dates for the first legs and second legs, involving Oceania 1st, Asian 5th, CONCACAF 4th, South America 5th set for early to mid June?

CONCACAF top 4 or 5 and South America 4th to 9th looking very congested, and Oceania not starting its qualifying until March

Wouldn’t think they’d get many visitors up there nowadays.

I would’ve thought they might have had Roar players, considering it’s in Brissie.

Round 1 fixture promo. Kickoff is almost here!

Anyone else reckon 10’s messaging about the start of the A-Leauge is unclear? In all communication from them it’s pretty misleading IMO (could be on purpose), it says:

The Isuzu Ute A-League kicks off Friday on 10 and Paramount+

I wonder how many people will try tune in tomorrow night and realise that the first game of the season only premieres on P+, with only the Saturday night games and one select Sunday women’s game airing on FTA.

Agreed. It’s surely not hard for 10 to do an announcement saying ‘Kick off Friday 19th November on Paramount+ and Saturday 20th November on 10.

Yes I was saying this last week. Your normal person who does not know anything about how sports rights work would not have a clue.

Hardly anyone would know 10 and P+ have the same parent company.

I still don’t quite understand why tomorrow night’s season opener isn’t on 10. All it could do is help remind people the A-League is back and to get Paramount + if you want more than Saturday nights for the rest of the season.

Plus maybe rate decently? Kickoff is a perfect time for everywhere bar WA, following The Project/ News and it’s not like Graham Norton is going gangbusters.

It’s been a positive start for Ten with football but there have been one or two missed opportunities imo.

Agree the season opener should’ve probably aired on 10, even if it was on Bold.

Don’t know if this appeared on here yet.

I take it this was for socials only?

Strange watermarking of top left on this occasion.

Ten misses out

Bugger. Nothing against Optus but it would’ve been nice to have it and the A-League in one place with a FTA component (which I’m assuming this won’t have)

Confirmed that Optus has retained the Australian rights to the Premier League.

NBC has retained the US rights to the competition.

I’m happy because now I don’t have to pay more money to subscribe to another steaming service.

Yep. And the fact it’s included at no extra cost with most mobile plans.
