Great news for 10 with the Matildas’ win tonight into the final of the Women’s Asian Cup.

Was gonna ask if it’s too much of a stretch to predict that 10 could see its most-watched program of the year on Saturday.

AFL and NRL are not on FTA that day. 10 would carry the final regardless of who’s there, but we’re there now, so that’s extra gravitas.

Elevate the second semifinal to TV. Surely it has enough interest now?

The Final on Saturday night will definitely be high ratings. No sporting competition on Seven and Nine.

Promote. Promote. Promote. Advertise the living crap for the Final.

However, the NBL Championship game one (Kings v 36ers) on 10 Drama, which takes place at the same time, could take some viewers away.

Not for long though. NBL is scheduled for 7pm and will last two hours, so the football - which starts at 8pm - has all the potential audience for the second half.

Who knows, there could even be ET and penalties.

What I’m surprised is that they didn’t elevate one of the two A-League matches to the main channel, just so we have a running theme.

10 for the love of all things MediaSpy you have probably the greatest chance to get the most eyeballs you’ve had since the BBL - maybe - so quit plugging Survivor and 10News+ and start filling your ad spots with the final and heck, put the A-League match as a lead in

10 should take advantage of the Matildas playing, and put one of the A-League games on the main channel. The Brisbane v Wellington game is on Bold Drama 2.30-5.05pm aedt. Could easily put that game on 10 as the lead in to the News.

Game 2 (Melb Victory V Central Coast) is on Bold 5.05-7pm, so that one is tricky for the main channel.

It’s a great opportunity for huge ratings. Also 10 has the Women’s World Cup in Brazil next winter

10 are experts at promoting one program at the expense of all others

Surprised that “The Weekly Kick Off” hasn’t been given a more priority during the Women’s Asian Cup. Didn’t the show just do a “preview episode” and nothing more? This would have been a great opportunity to promote this little hidden gem of a show.

Once again, it needs to be pointed out, 10 are run by idiots. And owned by an even bigger idiot dictated to by the world’s biggest idiot.

Australia v Japan is the final.

10 would love a tightly contested outcome. If they can make it to penalties, even better.

That’s an idiotic thing to say.

Any sign of any promos being flogged til we’re sick to the sight of them yet?

There’s a difference. I know I’m an idiot. 10 don’t.
