The countdown to the latest season of the A-League has received little promotion.
Even less promotion is tomorrow night’s Australia Cup Final - which is actually on the main channel of 10. I sadly can’t see it getting good ratings, for the lack of promotion only. The caps above is the first i have seen.
The latest season of “The Weekly Kick Off” has been airing on 10 (Bold) Drama on Wednesday nights at 10.30pm for quite a few weeks now. Zero promotion of this show to my knowledge from 10 anywhere.

Some of those ad spots for Big Brother should have been used to promote 10’s A-League broadcast and Australia Cup final. And air these promos during the 5pm news, Deal or No Deal, The Amazing Race Australia, HYBPA and The Cheap Seats.

Well this is 10, they put all their eggs in one basket.

That’s an unnecessarily large team at the venue for a game and competition that no one knows what it is and nobody is going to watch. Save money and invest it in other coverage.

So they usually don’t do enough, and tonight they’re doing too much?
Can only imagine what would be said if they did the bare minimum to put the game to air, as well as fans/league saying they aren’t doing enough to (try to) grow the tournament.
They’ve got the rights, it’s the final and it’s airing on the main channel, may as well put the effort in.

Not sure about the decision to more or less basically drop the 10 branding completely on mics and other venue advertising. Might help Paramount but doesn’t exactly help reinforce that some of the aleague is available free on 10.

Glad they had a few on field hosts/commentators tonight. But wish they promoted tonights match a little bit more.
At least they advertised some upcoming sporting events in their coverage tonight (going by the caps above).
Re the Round One fixture - would be nice to show the, what the 10 Drama games are for the casual fan.
Also, why is the Friendly between the Socceroos and Canada on Paramount+ and not on 10? It’s on next Saturday - at 10am aedt. Surely the soccer is better than the often repeated travel & cooking shows
But the cooking and travel and 4x4 shows would be paying money, and as we all know, Bev and the gang love paid programming more than things people will actually watch.

Same reason the NBA x NBL on Friday was on Drama.
Because infomercial programs seem to be favored unfortunately

Unfortunately, I have to agree with that. It is sad when commercial tv favours for that - commercials (aka infomercial programs). And some shows and sporting events miss out.

In this case re the comment on the friendlies and wider football rights, it’s purely a business decision with using the rights effectively between 10 and Paramount+.
So many marquee primetime games on FTA and the rest at odd times etc paywalled to help drive subs, it’s as simple as that.
Yes they could’ve had the NBAxNBL on the main channel, but it would’ve been a risk and still pulled an audience over on Drama.

P+ will stream the friendly between Canada and Australia, live from Montreal’s Saputo Stadium, at 10.30am AEDT today.

On the last couple of nights I saw on 10 a P+ promo for the upcoming A-League Men season, which starts this Friday. However I noticed the logo of Canberra United towards the end of the clip.
That is a big error as Canberra United only compete in A-League Women competition.
