How do you do fellow kids?

That should be Al Ain (missing the second A).

This is the second leg of 2023-24 AFC Champions League final. Yokohama won 2-1 in the first leg in Japan back on May 11, and only needs a draw to claim the title.

I wish 10 would use a stacked logo for Bold when showing sports (and just in general for the multi’s) it’s far too big and just would look more balanced.

Either that or use 10 Sport for sports.

Did 10 Melbourne do their sport from MCG tonight?
I really can’t believe this isn’t on main channel.

Bold’s the football channel.

Yeh. But why not showcase it to a bigger audience.

At what cost?

The marginally bigger audience from running it on the main channel wouldn’t be worth the loss of preempting MasterChef / NCIS for the night and the implications there.

It’s fine on Bold, that’s where football usually is as has been said and it’s in HD.

I’m a casual sports viewer. Had to hunt for it.

And another counter argument for you.

The ALeague Grand Final is listed for 10’s main channel on Saturday night.

Exactly, a Saturday night where they’re not exactly preempting higher rating content (possibly) and it’s a one off for the grand final.

Very different situation than a random weeknight game which won’t do better than the regular lineup.

They could have saved an ep of NCIS Sydney for next week.

They’re all available on Paramount+ anyway.

It’s a meaningless friendly - even football fans would struggle to be interested unless you were a fan of one of the sides (and even then…) or an absolute Ange-head.

It’s not main channel fodder, even for 10.

Kick off was 7:45 with pre coverage starting earlier from 7:00, no?

So it’s not just preempting NCIS Sydney, it would implicate MasterChef too and later schedule too.

Anyway, it’s a non-issue really.

Bold’s not HD in regional areas

I didn’t even know Bold was HD in Melbourne until tonight.
