I can’t imagine for me who thinks there is an audience for games like Aston Villa v Brisbane Roar

Why isn’t any of it on Paramount+? Why bother with the service then? I’m not asking for exclusivity on the platform but at least show it on there.

what does 10 have the rights to, in regards to A-League finals series.

Tonight’s A-League match between Sydney FC and Melbourne Victory is the last “regular match” for Channel 10, before they go into the Finals Series next weekend.

Can someone confirm what the arrangements are for the Finals please - in regards to airing on Ten and on Paramount+.

The rundown for the finals are: Elimination Finals next Saturday and Sunday; followed by the Semi-Finals (first legs are mid week, second leg on the weekend of 21-22 May), with the Grand Final on the weekend of 28 or 29 of May. Dates and times are to be confirmed.

Provisionally (according to the Foxtel EPG), both Elimination Finals are scheduled to air on TV next weekend. The Saturday night game will be on 10 while the Sunday afternoon game would air on 10 Bold.

I would have liked it, if Foxtel’s EPG is correct is to bring the game forward by an hour, so that they can air it on the main channel leading into the news.

10 owns the whole rights my friend (and the league).

I meant the FTA channel, as they only aired the Sunday W-League game throughout the season, no other finals were aired on Bold.

That is correct.

10play will stream the final round playoffs for the 2022 Australia Cup (formerly FFA Cup), featuring the bottom four A-League sides of this season, this Thursday and Friday. The winners will advance to the Round of 32 of the tournament.

The A-League Men’s Final Series schedule has been released. All games will be shown on either 10 or 10 Bold as well as Paramount+:

That May 21st game at 5:10pm aest will probably be in bold as news and election coverage will be on main channel.

Seems to me that the A-League finals fixture was drawn before tonight’s match between Melbourne City and Wellington Phoenix. City won 2-1 and became back to back premiers, with Victory finishing second.

Perhaps they got the Leg 2 broadcasters the wrong way around? The fact that the Sunday May 22nd game begins at 2:05pm AEST suggests to me that it might be airing on 10 - especially because the start-time allows for enough time in case the tie requires extra time/penalties without it eating into the 5pm news.

I believe that the City or Victory boxes are there because the format is that City will play the lowest qualifier who won the elimination final. So say for example Wellington wins against Western. City will play them because they were in 6th (lowest qualifier), but if Western wins, Victory will play them because they were the highest qualifier. Hope that makes sense :crossed_fingers:t2:
