Remember when Peter Harvey presented an afternoon bulletin I think in 2012? He was leaning and slouching in the desk.
The intro is quite peculiar without a VO and the theme out of tune… Could that have been done by WIN during their feud with Nine in 2007 to dub out “National Nine News” VO, or just a one off error?

It all sounded like a mixing error to me. 99% chance that WIN wasn’t responsible for the lack of VO.

I find it strange that GTV went to the effort to remove the new theme on everything Melbourne but retained it on News Updates, even the ones they produced. Might’ve been a national decision from Sydney?

It’s interesting that stock footage so old was in use in 2006. The bottle of Mifepristone looks like it has a use-by date of April 1987, which would have made it 19 years old by the time of this broadcast. Would we be using stock footage from 2007 in current news bulletins? I would have thought no.

GTV Viewers didn’t like the new theme and it was changed back just a few weeks later
Pretty sure it was management out of GTV that didn’t like it
