They do! Sorry I thought we already knew this?
Awesome! I canāt recall it mentioned (unless I missed a post) ![]()
I could only recall Gouburn 100.7 mentioned as having recently added RDS, maybe by dxnerd or
someone. So I was just thinking this outlet might have followed suit somewhere on the timeline.
Yeah, they mustāve added it fairly recently since there was no RDS on 97.5 when I was in Canberra in January.
Just out of curiosity, do you @AustraliaRadio232 recall if 96.7 QBN had RDS back in January this year?
@Radiohead mentioned it doesnāt have RDS on today. I was thinking of deleting the entry from the list if the station hasnāt used RDS for sometime. Perhaps @dxnerd knows more of 96.7 QBNās RDS history ?
I donāt remember seeing any rds on QBN while I was there, the signal I got from the CBD was fairly weak though so there is a possibility that it just didnāt decode.
I plan to go atop Mt Ainslie today, i should know for sure then, but Iād be surprised if there is any based on what Iāve seen so far.
97.5 Queanbeyan didnāt have RDS when I last checked about 10 days ago so that is brand new. Goulburn 100.7 has had it for at least a month.
96.7 QBN hasnāt had RDS for a good while now.
100.7 Forever Classic 60s HPON Goulburn RDS
Same PI code as Queanbeyan.
And they have a 70s LPON with RDS too!
Triple M Country is on FM 99.1 MHz in Toowoomba under an HPON license.
Any proof of this? With RDS of course? Or is it just another pirate broadcaster retransmitting Triple M Country (via LiSTNR) in Toowoomba on 99.1 FM? ![]()
Has been there since 2021, and was previously on 91.5 (now SEN Track).
Its listed in the ACMA files, so itās legitimate.
I went down to the Monaro yesterday to see if there was some snow about at lower elevations (unfortunately, that was a no). Didnāt bother going up to Perisher where there was a dusting; Iāll save the entrance fee for better snowfalls ![]()
Thereās a strong station on 87.6 MHz which can be received throughout much of the southern Monaro, at least outside Jindabyne and Bombala where there are local 87.6 txs. It plays continuous country music on what seems to be a limited loop with no IDs. Searching the ACMA database just now, it seems that this station may be unlicensed as thereās no listing within 80 km of Bombala that could explain it. The station at Bombala is the long standing āGT FMā which airs a general retro format, whilst 87.6 in Jindabyne is Faith FM (RDS). The 87.6 at Cooma-owned by Capital Radio- isnāt active as yet but may run FC 60ās.
This mystery 87.6 could be heard coming into Jindabyne as well, when shadowed from the local Faith FM. Iāve heard it almost all the way to Cooma (from Nimmitabel), and it also interferes with GT FM down near Bombala. In short, it must be running some power. I think the location must be somewhere between Dalgety and Delegate. In Dalgety itās strong though has some weak patches; Iāve not yet been to Delegate to assess how strong it is there.
Completely legit as it comes from the top of the building the Toowoomba SCA Studios is in.
PROOF: I maintain it with my work on behalf of SCA ![]()
No sign of FC 60ās on 88.0 Jindabyne by chance?
Negatory, Big Ben.
90.5 FM Chinese Radio - Perth has been broadcasting silence for almost two weeks now.
Not sure whatās happening there. ![]()
On that note, is 95.3 still silent too? (not a Narrowcast I know)
Yes it is still silent, as in no TX on air.
Iāve also just checked the ACMA frequency register & former licence of 6EBA no longer appears there.
I wonder what ACMA intends doing with that vacant frequency if 6EBA has been wound up, if that has actually occurred?
Havenāt heard much discussion about this.
It is an interesting discussion point given the demand for more FM channels in Perth, re AM to FM conversions. ![]()
The ACMA will give Perth the FM conversions theyāve been asking for - and make 6EBAās frequency a HPON for the TAB.
