Meanwhile in Perth on Sunrise the sentencing hasn’t started and it’s 9:58 but on Nine its nearly over.

The font used for the Perth clock looks slighty different from the standard graphics on Sunrise

That’s the coverup clock that is used when they are playing a segment at a different time in Perth to the time it was broadcast in Sydney.

We get the same in Brisbane during DLS when BTQ switches to a ‘live’ feed for big news events. ABC TV in WA looked to be on it’s standard delay.

The way they normally would do this is to cut into the delayed broadcast with the live news, then carry on where they left off once the live bit is finished.
It’s a bit jarring but the timing works out so no filler is required & nothing is missed from the original content.

Interesting that the BBC seemed to know they’d be airing swear words and put up a language warning but none of our local media were given this heads up?

I was probably indicating on the censorship rules when the midday movie did air and showed adult content classified M… However, during school holidays the same timeslot had family friendly PG programming.

But wait, there’s more - not just an appeal of the sentence as previously reported but of the murder convictions.

The window to file a leave application will now close at midnight on Monday, November 3.

Some appeal paperwork, though, must be submitted before Tuesday.

They should have gotten George Fungus to host the news report.

In Melbourne, number one story on Nine and number two on Seven; prosecutors to appeal sentence. In Sydney, Nine also crossed to outside the court and Seven covered the story.
