The Big Freeze @ The G averaged just under 800k on the King’s Birthday holiday in several states. Monday Afternoon AFL that followed saw Collingwood with a one-point win over Melbourne for a massive 830k audience. By comparison, in 2024 the Big Freeze audience was 633k and the AFL game 721k.

That gave a big lead-in to prime time where Seven News posted the second highest rating for any news bulletin this year. Home and Away got a small bump then as one of the farmers found love in Farmer Wants A Wife the show hit a season high 890k. Then a double 9-1-1 had 473k and 308k. That helped Seven to an easy win while Nine’s share was its lowest for a Monday this year.

Lego Masters Grand Masters Of The Galaxy was at a season low for Nine with 680k, down 190k on the previous Monday. The prime time 2025 Australian Swimming Trials aired next with just 274k. That compares to the 2024 Trials that averaged 687k on Day 1.

On ABC, Australian Story was a repeat and was down 80k. Four Corners then was down 130k while Media Watch hit a season low of 487k. Picasso’s season final then managed 215k.

MasterChef Australia’s latest challenge had 663k. That was down 50k on the previous week’s high but otherwise the third highest rated episode of the season. Have You Been Paying Attention? was well ahead of the competition on 770k, a drop of 30k week-on-week. The third season of Inspired Unemployed (Impractical) Jokers that followed missed the top 30 on 211k.

Earlier, with The Project announced their own demise on air, viewing numbers were up to 419k, the highest of 2025 so far. Nine’s 6pm bulletin was its 4th highest of the year near 1.5 million.
