The second episode of Dream Homes last night lost an incredible 320,000 viewers from its Sunday premiere. While some drop off from launch episodes is always expected and +660k is a good result, that is an unprecedented switch off. The result saw rival reality shows gain audience from the previous week with MasterChef topping 700k and up 40k while The Summit gained 15k.

The results still saw Seven winning the night though down by more than three to below 30% for the first time in five weeks. All other networks made gains with 10 up to its best Monday share of the year.

Eclipsing all the reality shows was ABC’s combo of 7.30 and Australian Story (up 80k) while Four Corners and Media Watch also did well.

Later, Have You Been Paying Attention? was up 80k with the Taskmaster encore that followed also in the top 30. 9-1-1 dropped without its 1 million lead in from Farmers but stayed ahead of Paramedics.

Though third in its timeslot, Home and Away was the highest rated entertainment show of the day while earlier, Tipping Point topped 800k for its best result of the year while The Chase had its equal second highest national audience.
