The 2025 AFL Brownlow Medal ceremony ranked second in Monday’s ratings, just behind Seven News with 1.45 million. That followed the Red Carpet coverage that averaged 879k. Both results were up on the previous year’s numbers where the Brownlow telecast had 1.355 million while 843k tuned in for the Red Carpet.

With the increased competition The Block featuring the start of Back Of House Week dropped down the rankings by 70k to 1.187m while The Amazing Race Celebrity Edition edged 20k lower to 540k.

ABC’s line-up was also impacted with Australian Story doing best, down 60k to 708k. Four Corners at 8.30pm lost almost 200k from the previous week’s high while Media Watch was down 75k to 559k. Planet America was also lower with 434k the lowest in its new timeslot so far.

The 1% Club UK also featured on Seven’s channels with a preliminary number of 534k that may be inflated because it was the lead out from The Brownlows while The Equalizer 2 movie aired in Sydney and Brisbane on the main channel to 248k..

It was finals time on 100% Footy in Sydney and Brisbane averaging 167k with Australian Crime Stories that went to air in AFL areas managing 127k for Nine.

Have You Been Paying Attention? slipped by 60k to be 10’s best result after Deal Or No Deal had 268k. Later, Talkin’ ‘Bout Your Gen had an encore with 213k.

On SBS at 7.30pm Robson Green’s Weekend Escapes managed just 71k after SBS World News had 172k and 127k.

Seven News had a 110k lead over Nine News at 6pm after Tipping Point was 172k ahead of The Chase.
That result compared to the previous Monday when the margin was 135k.

The result follows on from Seven’s new Winning Arvo that started with entry coded as Seven News with Alex Cullen that had 174k (see below for more details on the afternoon). Meanwhile 10 News + dropped to its lowest Monday audience so far with 126k.

Sunrise won breakfast with 410k to Today’s 333k.
