I know many May oppose this idea BUT I think two shows that could possibly work (and rate) are a revival of Sale Of The Century - provided they had a likeable host like David Campbell. Weekdays (probably on Nine)
The other show I think could work is Perfect Match - possibly with a host like Joel Creasey or Tim Campbell. I would air this as weekdays in half hour instalment with a possible trial of male only contestants on Mondays and Female only contestants on Fridays. The other 3 days would revert to the normal format. If the show worked albeit Monday and Friday variations, the original format would be reverted to with any excess same sex episodes played out Saturday nights. This could suit Ten
I have always wanted Sale of the Century (aka Temptation) to return since the day it wrapped up some years ago. I love rapid fired questions on game shows (i may not answer many questions correctly, but its still enjoyable. lol)
It is more suited on Nine, but I canât see where to put it in this time of day.
It was at the 7pm slot for some time. But i cannot see it returning in that slot. The 6pm News is never going back to half an hour (and putting A Current Affair back at 6.30pm). And long gone are the days of airing half an hour games shows at 5pm and 5.30pm.
The recent revival of Weakest Link had more of a comedic feel to it (being hosted by a comedian, Magda Szubanski) as opposed to the original hosted by Cornelia Frances which had a serious feel to it. Thatâs where I think Nine failed in its revival of the show, plus there were some ridiculously low scores on that version too.
I know itâs not likely to happen because sometimes itâs cheaper to produce on game show than 2 (or more), but I would love to see it return in the second half of the year at say 5:30pm with possibly a half hour game show at 5pm (possibly The Price Is Right - if they can secure the Australian rights). Tipping Point could be maintained at 5pm for the first half of the year.
My reasoning is simple, the longer the program, the quicker you lose viewer interest and given all longer format game shows are like test cricket, it fails to keep viewers interested regardless of how entertaining the concept might be. My idea for running a 1 hour show for half a year is because I think it would be more difficult to condense a 1 hour format into 30 minutes, albeit not impossible

All infomercials would move to 10Bold and 10Peach under the above plan with Infomercials being added to the schedule from 8:30am til 10:00am everyday on 10Peach and 10:00am til 11:30am weekdays on 10Bold. Overnight infomercials on 10Bold would be set at 2 hours per night between 11pm and 5am with infomercials restarting each day at 5am (til 7am weekdays and 8am weekends)
10Peach would screen infomercials from around midnight til 1;30am and 3:30am and 5:00am.

If I was Australian born or moved to Australia and controlled ABC, Seven of Nine. I Would scrap reality TV repeats on Nine to favour putting British game shows on these channels like Lingo (UK), Ant and Decs Limitless Win, The Finish Line and putting new episodes of The Repair Shop before state editions of ABC News. 10 would stay American scoured with game shows like Flip Side and the original American Wheel of Fortune and would revive the short lived 2012 breakfast and put in Drew Barrymore show afterwards. That so be so much better and entertaining Australians through daytime rather than repeats.
