Given these show’s tend to talk about events, etc, that would be on during, or near when an episode goes to air, I would guess that it means that they film some of the stuff closer to when the episode’s go to air.
My guess is Seven weren’t happy with ratings, or wanted to cut costs, and it got the chop before the final 2 episode’s were finished.
Anything that was filmed before then could possibly be repurposed for The Great Outdoors.
