Peril in paradise

Ziggy and Dean return in action-packed Home and Away event

The highly anticipated return of fan favourites Ziggy (Sophie Dillman) and Dean (Patrick O’Connor) has finally arrived, with the pair set to make their explosive return to Home and Away from Monday, 10 March on Seven and 7plus.

Kicking off a high-stakes storyline that will see two lives in jeopardy, Levi (Tristan Gorey) surprises Mackenzie (Emily Weir) with tickets to sunny Queensland. Mackenzie is over the moon, until she realises that Levi wants to use the trip as a chance to get acquainted with her stoic half-brother – and former River Boy – Dean.

Dean, Ziggy and their baby girl, Izzy, were last seen on screens in March 2023, when they left Summer Bay to move to Queensland. The upcoming were filmed last year, on location in the picturesque Whitsunday region of tropical north Queensland. Filming locations included Airlie Beach, Daydream Island, Bowen and Proserpine.

With breath-taking views of the Sunshine State, the storyline kicks off with Mackenzie and Levi enjoying a scenic helicopter ride, before heading to Ziggy and Dean’s home for a surprise visit.

While Ziggy shrieks with excitement at the sight of Mackenzie and her new beau, Dean is less than enthused to see Levi, citing the fact that he cheated on his wife as a reason he cannot be trusted.

With the two men at odds in an increasingly awkward family reunion, a deflated Mackenzie feels like the trip is a bust. The two decide to give up on the idea of Dean ever accepting Levi, returning to their lush resort to make the most of what’s left of their trip.

After some wise words from Ziggy, Dean agrees to give Levi another chance, and the four embark on a sightseeing roadie around Queensland complete with a catamaran cruise and majestic diving excursion.

While the bonding trip appears to be another disaster – with Dean making it clear that he and Levi will never be mates – the pair soon have bigger problems on their hands.

Ziggy and Mackenzie are taken captive by two escaped prisoners and forced to drive off at high-speed, leaving Dean and Levi reeling in the distance. The two frantically spring into action, chasing after the loves of their lives in a stolen car.

With every second critical, Dean and Levi must put their differences aside and work together if they ever want to see their girlfriends alive again.

Don’t miss Ziggy and Dean’s dramatic return, when Home and Away’s Queensland event kicks off from 7.00pm Monday, 10 March on Seven and 7plus.

As seen on TV Week front cover

The actress playing Eliza has a big career ahead of her. She’s been fantastic in this role so far. Quite frightening. Looking forward to seeing where this storyline goes.

She’s doing brilliantly. Her stare is so intense it gives me shudders.

She filmed her final scenes today

From the H&A page on Facebook:

Home and Away - Today, Lynne wrapped her final scene with her best… | Facebook

Seems like it’s gonna be a boring exit then if her last scene is in the diner.

I didn’t watch the video, but did they say that was Irene’s last scene, or Lynnes last scene to be filmed?
Because she might’ve filmed the actual final scene last week?
