I doubt they even shot new footage for the titles - looks like they’ve just reused some stuff from promo shoots
Some were and some weren’t. I can’t say how I know that, but there was definitely intention to shoot some for the titles
Different theme used for the extended intro tonight (extended recording of the 2018 up-beat version with the female singer) - some of the shots used for the cast also looked different from the previous week.
Seven producers must be getting their feedback where the industry hears their feedback first! MediaSpy
So much better! Need character names on screen though…
Significantly better, IMO
Though being picky, the transitions are perhaps a little too fast, they’re trying to match the new tempo of this theme, but doesn’t quite blend with the original slo-mo style of the shots as seen last week.
That theme is a hundred times better.
These didn’t appear in any of the three episodes on 7Plus tonight.
Much better but the intro needs to have some sort of theme, it’s just random images. I know they want to make it easy to update, but it just looks cheap.
While we were having that trip down memory lane a week or two back, came across this… The highly anticipated ‘stalker’ reveal in early-mid 2005, which went back to 2004. Seven heavily promoted this ep and the aftermath, during some very high rating shows too.
The Zoe story wouldn’t be over however, it’d resurface more than a year later, culminating with Jack and Martha’s wedding in an explosion.
This is when I started properly watching the show and can actually remember a lot of bits quite well. I’m kind of sorry I stopped watching around 2009.
Peak H&A:
I watched from around 98-2002. Everyone seems to have a period when they were young.
Much better!!
This week’s TV Week has an interview with Summer Bay debutants Ryan Bown (Sonny) and Sophea Pennington (Lacey).
They do. Every month. But only the girls and women.
The cast is much older these days so they’re mostly menopausal.
Contender for worst joke of the year…
I’m here all week.
Yes, I was sucked in by the 2005 storylines, watching the show in 2005-2007 religiously as is was far better than Neighbours at the time. However, when Neighbours revamped in late 07, I started to prefer Neighbours again, and started to switch off HAA by early 2009.
Surprisingly, they kept the opening for the stalker revealed episode, something that would never happen this day and age! (There were some eps from 2005-2006 where the opening wouldn’t be shown, it would just recap and then title card, until 07 when it was almost always dropped!).
I can’t even remember that, interesting.
Pretty much exactly me, though I’d watched Neighbours earlier, continued to watch both in the mid-2000s, then just remained with Neighbours from 2009.

I don’t agree that Neighbours was poor though, I actually think it had some of its best times during this era as well, particularly pre-2007, certainly some of the characters/families.
