But Seven is already broadcasting a HD channel, regardless of content?
But I think we all agree it should be the MAIN channel in every market, not one dictated by the AFL.

If they really must stick with this why canât they put a HD stream the seven main channel in HD on plus7 app for all states?
Seven didnât show the Spring Racing Carnival in HD, Seven arenât showing the Australian Open Golf in HD, so I donât have particularly high hopes that theyâll let the current 7mateHD markets watch the Summer of Tennis in HD.
IMO, Seven should at the very least be running the main channel in HD with breakaway 7mate AFL programing in Sydney, Brisbane/Gold Coast and Perth.

Thatâs odd that the ABC have chosen a Tuesday to launch HD.
I would have thought it would be a Sunday or Monday.
Perhaps odd, but itâs certainly not the first time that a new channel or HD simulcast was launched on a less than conventional date.
Itâll be interesting to see how many shows are in native HD when ABC HD (re)launches in a couple of weeks. Also, I wonder if ABC HD will be in 720p or 1080i.

The potential for overseas sales probably helps most of their local productions and commissions outside of news to be HD.
Likewise the UK content they air would be largely HD, provided they get it supplied that way.
Assuming the early rumours had this happening mid year, they should be in a good position with getting those actually delivered in HD.

Wasnât it the affiliation swap of regionals which delayed the ABCâs plans?
Regardless of what it was, a delay would have given them more time to organise the other bits and pieces surrounding getting content delivered in HD, so more might be HD now than had they launched as rumoured.

Because they are a joke now that every station is broadcasting their main channel in HD mostly everywhere except for them ?
Nine is not only broadcasting in HD even their online streaming is in HD on 9 Now.

1080i and MPEG4. Hopefully it wonât be pixellated beyond belief like SBS HD was a few times last night when I was watching.
