Without an Ashes test match in the schedule, Friday nights shares were closer to normal this week with Seven an easy winner with its highest Friday share in eight weeks. As expected, Nine dropped back while ABC and 10 were up week-on-week. SBS was steady.
Early evening numbers including Seven, Nine and ABC News plus A Current Affair were up from last Friday with Better Homes and Gardens the top rated entertainment offering.
The AFL was down almost 100k to one of its lowest Friday night numbers of the season while the NRL was up 90k from the previous week’s low.
ABC’s First Weapons did better with less competition with its best rating since the launch episode four weeks ago but 10’s Location, Location, Location again missed the top 20.
Nickelodeon was again up on the previous week’s share achieved by 10 Shake; again still a modest result but the second highest Friday share ever for LCN 13.
