One of the biggest Friday nights of the year reaching 13 million FTA viewers saw Seven post another win. Though down two from the last week it was the network’s twelfth consecutive Friday over 32%. Second-placed Nine had its lowest Friday share of the survey while 10 grabbed third place with its best Friday result of the year. ABC was down two and SB down one.
AFL was the top sports entry, recording a three-week high despite increased competition from the closely fought Matildas V China PR game with just 30k separating the two entries. Also in the mix, a one-sided NRL game still topped 500k on par with the previous week.
Better Homes and Gardens was the top entertainment property in prime time with a 150k lead over Gardening Australian that was second. Silent Witness was the best drama despite dropping 40k.
Earlier, it was a big day for news with Seven, Nine, ABC and 10 News all recording their highest Friday ratings of the year.
In the afternoon Tipping Point had another win over The Chase as both recorded Friday-high ratings.
