Round 12 of the AFL continued with the 4-point win for Carlton over Geelong seeing ratings rise to 717k – up from 694k last Friday and Thursday’s low of 539k. That is the highest overnight Friday result for seven weeks and second highest of the season.
Meanwhile, NRL Friday Night Footy saw the Sharks win a close game against the Sea Eagles to 577k viewers, down 70k from last Friday and the lowest Friday night rating of the year.
Gardening Australia was steady for ABC with 515k to be the top prime time entertainment show ahead of Better Homes And Gardens that was up 60k to 447k. Love It Or List It Australia on 10 was down 20k to 252k and the network’s only top 30 prime time entry.
Later, the second episode of Shetland ‘s new season was down 90k from the premiere to 429k. Seven’s movie The Da Vinci Code slipped into the top 30 with 156k.
Seven News topped the night with 1.257m to be 100k ahead of Nine News. Tipping Point had earlier given Nine a 5pm win by 90k. A Current Affair was number one at 7pm with its highest Friday rating since January.
Sunrise with 417k was 90k clear of Today’s 322k with News Breakfast on 246k.
