Nine telecast NRL Friday on its main channel along the east coast last night. The Roosters’ second half demolition of the Storm averaged just under 700k to be up 80k on the previous week to be the highest rated Friday game of the season.
The result was helped by an AFL-free line-up for Seven where Better Homes And Gardens with 580k was the top rated entertainment show in prime time and up 170k week-on-week with its best result since February. The Downton Abbey movie that followed had just under 300k.
Gardening Australia wasn’t far behind on ABC with a season high 563k while Professor T that followed topped 400k.
Over on 10, Love It Or List It Australia was steady on 225k while an encore of Have You Been Paying Attention? improved by 40k to just under 200k.
At 6pm Seven News was 30k ahead of Nine’s bulletin after Tipping Point secured a 140k win at 5pm. Earlier Sunrise did well to get 419k compared with Today at just over 300k.
