Essendon defeated Richmond to win the Dreamtime at the 'G game in Friday Night AFL Footy to an average 634k, on par with the previous week’s result. Better Homes And Gardens took a rare second place to ABC’s, Gardening Australia with the audience of 443k down on the previous four weeks as ABC’s lifestyle show got a 60k boost.

NRL’s Friday night saw the Eels easily win over the Sea Eagles, rating just under 600k, up slightly week-on-week. Find My Country House Australia Season 6 also premiered on Nine but missed the top 30 ranking.

ABC’s new drama, The One That Got Away, did well to just miss the top 10 with 449k. Over on 10, an encore of Have You Been Paying Attention? at 8.30pm outperformed its lead in from House Hunters Australia the continued to underperform and missed the top 30. SBS’s 7.30 offering made the list, however, with Call Me Kate on 126k.

It was another close contest between the 6pm news bulletins with Seven scoring another narrow win. That saw Nine compete its most competitive week of the year with its highest Friday bulletin and highest average for any week in 2025 so far. While Seven News still did well, with its second highest result, the margin between the bulletins was the smallest so far.

It was another big 90k win for Sunrise at breakfast and at 5pm Tipping Point finished off its highest rated week ever.
