Seven’s schedule featured variations in every market on Friday night. Melbourne and Adelaide saw St Kilda edge out Essendon in a thriller while Brisbane and Perth saw Brisbane progress to the finals with a big win over Fremantle. That included a 30 minute truncated 6pm news out west. Sydney had a Voice marathon with the third episode starting at around midnight. The AFL was up 60k on last week to 622k. Better Homes And Gardens featured to varying degrees across Seven and 7Two with 368k, well down on its season average.
The Roosters easily defeated the Bulldogs in the NRL Friday night on Nine, up 15k to 548k this week. AFL markets had Police Rescue Australia on the main channel rating 186k with San Andreas the movie just making the top 30.
Gardening Australia was prime time top entertainment program on 483k for ABC. Not far behind was ABC’s newest British drama Professor T premiered to a credible 469k. That wads up 100k on the seaults the Patience had achieved in recent weeks.
A Love It Or List It Australia repeat again made the top 30 for 10 as the network’s only prime time entry, down 20k to just over 200k. It was joined in the listing by the afternoon’s 5pm News bulletin that was steady with 301k. Meanwhile the Have You Been Paying Attention? encore made the key demographic lists.
The 6pm contest closed out another close contest with Seven News ahead by less than 10k to win the week.
Sunrise was ahead earlier by 75k with News Breakfast over 250k.
