Friday AFL saw Hawthorn come from behind for a narrow win over Adelaide averaging 576k. That saw the game rank as the top sport of the night despite dropping +100k from the previous week.

Better Homes And Gardens had 450k, down 75k while House Of Wellness that followed as part of Seven’s “Better Friday” was in the top 30 for the second time with 184k.

The Titans took on the Sea Eagles in NRL Friday and won by 20 points averaging 529k, up slightly on last week. The 2025 Australian Swimming Trials continued on the main channel in three markets making the top 30 in contrast to Nine’s usual Friday alternative programming with 149k.

More House Hunters Australia were on 10 but not in the top 30 as The Project was its network’s only prime-time entry. Have You Been Paying Attention? that made the list last week also missed out.

Over on ABC, Gardening Australia was primetime’s top entertainment entry though down slightly week-on-week while The One That Got Away was steady at 252k.

Seven News took a win at 6pm with a 20k margin to Nine News. Both bulletins were higher than last week with Nine’s marginally delivering its best Friday result of the year. That followed Tipping Point recording its highest Friday rating ever. At breakfast Today managed to close the gap to Sunrise to less than 100k for its highest rating of a week. But overall the show had its lowest average weekly rating since January.
