I’m pretty sure that ad is actually from 2004 rather than 2007.

In any case, Foxtel don’t do Sports Active anymore do they?

Turner Classic Movies will no longer be available on Foxtel from December 13.

Not that I ever watched it but Foxtel’s offerings are shrinking further and further.

This may mean TCM will appear on Fetch

interesting…

We recently advised that the Sky News Election Channel would no longer be available from 29 November 2016 and that A-PAC would be moving from Sky News Multiview to channel 648 on November 30.

These changes will no longer be taking place. The Sky News Election Channel will remain and A-PAC will continue to be available as part of Sky News Multiview until further notice.

wtf for?

Because they can - it’s a good question though - the channel seems to be a mixture of repeats from Sky News interspersed with some content from ABC/CBS and Sky News UK

If they dropped the pointless HD version, they could have reinstated APAC as well as retaining the channel

They are properly waiting for the next Federal Election in 2019, the next US Election in 2020.:stuck_out_tongue:

German and French elections in the New Year coming up.

Oh yeah thats massive for Sky isn’t it? :grinning:

‘HOME AND AWAY’ SPECIAL EVENTS

PREMIERE ON FOXTEL PLAY and FOXTEL ON DEMAND

Foxtel announced today that two Home and Away special events, produced by Seven Productions, will be available to stream on Foxtel Play and download from Foxtel On Demand in December and January.

Home and Away: Revenge will be available on Monday December 19 from 8.30pm while Home and Away: All or Nothing will commence streaming on Australia Day Thursday January 26, 2017.

In the sequel to the Home and Away special, An Eye for an Eye, which premiered on Presto to huge success late 2015, Home and Away: Revenge is perfect summer viewing for the thousands of fans who watch the weeknight series.
Both specials will see the return of Summer Bay favourites Dan Ewing and Lisa Gormley who reprise their much loved roles as Heath and Bianca Braxton.

In All or Nothing, Nic Westaway (Kyle Braxton) and Samantha Jade (Isla Schultz) will also return alongside series regulars, Lynne McGranger (Irene Roberts), Kyle Pryor (Nate Cooper) and George Mason (Martin Ashford).

Home and Away: Revenge is available to watch from the Foxtel On Demand menu from December 19 for Foxtel and Foxtel Play subscribers followed by Home and Away: All or Nothing, which arrives January 26 2017. Both special events will still be available to existing Presto customers on the same day.

I hear murmurings of a price rise (particularly for sport) in the new year - has anyone seen anything?

sport up $5 or something per month?

Does an increase in the fee effect or annoy sporting bodies that position themselves purely on Foxtel? Eg a-league? I understand the hard sports fan will stay with fox. But with afl and nrl free on Telstra, and with a simple cord you can watch it on your home tv or Apple TV, are Foxtel cutting there hand that feeds them?

Cause since the Telstra afl app has come out, in which I can watch any game live at home or away at no data and on my home tv, I didn’t bother with fox, now with the idea of an increase it makes me less want to buy such a product.

It’s been confirmed in a few places (e.g.; Foxtel Play) that the Sport package is increasing by $4 in February to $29 per month

I don’t understand why A-PAC is stuck on Multiview. I used to watch it a lot on 648, but on Multiview the picture is a little square in the corner, you can’t quickly switch to another channel and back again, and you can’t record it (yes, I actually recorded the Senate to watch later sometimes).

Speaking of Multiview, why doesn’t it have a button to get rid of all the text and expand the picture?

I used the think the same about Sky News UK. I would have liked that as a separate channel. Doesn’t matter now, since I dumped my Foxtel subscription.

I’m wondering whether Sky are getting ‘good’ ratings of their repeat showings of some of their programming on the election channel.

That said, so little of it is in HD you could ditch the HD version and have both in SD

They should rename Sky News Election Channel to Sky News International or something.
