Hmm…I wonder if it’s entirely coincidental that the new logo seems to have launched today, the 25th anniversary of Foxtel’s launch?
The last logo didn’t last too long… just over three years. Thought they ditched the block capital letters logo because it was believed to be too arrogant and aggressive. New one is rather plain and uninspiring. Pity they couldn’t bring back the searchlights element in some form to aid with brand recognition.
Searchlights are now Disney.
Interesting they put such a big emphasis on all their new channels having the classic FOX logo font (FOX Funny, FOX Arena, etc.) and then went with an original look for the main logo.
the upper case logo is now on the Foxtel website too
Media information also included the following image of the remote and header
You can also see this version on the website
Though Fox Media, Fox News, and the Fox television stations are still all using the searchlights.
Foxtel has changed its logo several times in the last few years.

And at some point between 2018 and 2019, they also ditched the salmon and went back to orange:
Now it seems the new logo has come full circle again from 2016, albeit slightly different.
The 2018 one was fine. It was still fresh and still felt new. It didn’t need to change back to capitals.
It’s like the Big W throwback again.
2018 was definitely the best, but look at 2017. Awful.
Can anyone confirm wether or not the new Foxtel logo is coming up on the home screen of the iq4/iq3 after you do the update?
Who knows! It took them a year and a half to update the new logo on foxtel now/ foxtel go and remove the dots.
Gotta love a brand that’s so confused that it needs to change its logo. As someone said previously the old search light logo was a classic.
It was probably a classic because it didn’t change every two years.
How does Foxtel or Fox Sport choose what they show on the Ultra HD channel? For example, why wouldn’t the AFL GF be screened on that channel tonight?
Grand final match is a Seven exclusive.
Oh I didn’t even think of that.
And I assume filmed in HD only because of Seven being the host broadcaster?
It’s a shame they don’t look to the future and record all these events in the best quality - the NFL literally film stuff so they can go back and bring their archive up to HD, while the AFL ended up with SD games in the 2010s!
