Yes, but I’m not sure if it’s like AM/FM where they switch over to parliament or like DAB+ and the internet where they continue with normal programming (e.g. live news, etc.).

The DTV service doesn’t air the parliament when it is sitting (much like the app/stream/DAB) as it has separate ‘normal’ programming for those digital services.
If I am driving around Question Time I will listen as only have a older car with only AM/FM and a CD stacker (remember those!) just for entertainment purposes of course.

My two cars are the only ones that do AM (and FM and/or DAB). None of my mini hifis or portable radios do AM (I bought these for DAB which comes with FM not AM), and only one small cheap radio has MW which is hard to listen to because the optimum orientation (of the internal ferrite antenna) may mean the speaker faces away from me!
That is what ACMA has been doing for low powered community stations (in Perth 88.5 then 88.9 and 10.7.3 then 107.9) and in southern suburbs of Perth you would be picking up Mandurah on 97.3 sitting between the SBS/ABC 96.9 and 97.7 powerhouses. I am sure if they had the will they can do that in other metro areas to allow ABC to move to FM, Adelaide would be the next metro city to get this (on par with Perth on the number of FM community/commercial stations)

@robtog and all, does this cause reception problems for 97.3 and 91.7 albeit outside their Mandurah licence area.
Community stations are already less than 0.8 MHz apart in places like Sydney and Melbourne.
Meanwhile, Adelaide is different from Perth in that about seven citywide stations have translators for Adelaide city so there would be less spare frequencies available.
