I am pleased to announce that my TEF is now available in the master list.
Please note at the moment its more likely to be offline than online. If its offline it’ll redirect to a page saying as such.
Also to note, signal on FM is not fantastic, but it will at least get the local stations. AM and SW on the other hand are fantastic thanks to the Yuloop currently connected to the TEF. (yes, you can indeed tune AM and SW on the FM-DX webserver )
Watch the storms- it’s tuned to 801 (5RM) at the moment and there are heaps of static crashes. Lightning tracker confirms significant thunderstorm activity around Mildura:
My internet is fairly slow here so I won’t be setting up a node- the DX is fairly pedestrian in the valley anyhow. And afternoon storms are so frequent here during DX season that it would be off more than on.
Yep I watched the currently occuring storm brew up, the TEF just ran out of battery power. The antenna is inside so low risk of lightning damage. To be safe I’ll leave it off and give it a chance to charge up and let the weather clear out.
Now back online, with the 3 element yagi connected up and sitting on the top of a wheely bin. I aim to leave it on for as long as possible to see how my internet copes with the traffic, hence why its only set to 128K bitrate.
Hi All, Just want to share my new FM Webserver here.
I used to have one setup in Melbourne but have recently moved to Sydney and am now living in an apartment.
I currently have my TEF6686 hooked up to a 4 Element Yagi on my east facing Balcony, I’m hoping that maybe I’ll pick up some NZ stations when the conditions are right. Feel free to give it a go and let me know if there is anything I should change
Nice. How much of the horizon can you see from your apartment? Seems like you must have pretty good line-of-sight to the south, too, based on the reception you’re getting on your TEF server.
It seems the sound issues are back, this time on VK3SWL’s new Mildura FM webserver. As TVCL mentioned last month, the left and right audio channels are inverted so the waveforms are essentially cancelling one another out causing it to sound like there’s no bass. @VK3SWL, to fix this issue, you need to go into the Audio menu and change MPX to Stereo.
Great seeing the webserver of @ninkeon58 now online.
I like the mighty Murray river pic.
To add a bit more gloss to the webserver webpage I have edited a new SEN Track logo & SON FM logo that @ninkeon58 & others may care to use where appropriate.
Interesting late last night on SONFM I heard programming that was completely out of touch with the format genre of SON FM, namely a station/program called Dance Wave Online. dancewave.online
Well for @AustraliaRadio232’s Cheltenham webserver from Melbourne, the problem with the sound was fixed and that inverted sound hasn’t come back at all on the server for a few days now.
(Also the Mildura inverted sound post above was meant to mention @ninkeon58 and not @VK3SWL’s Sydney webserver, unfortunately this is what happens when mods turn off editing mode which is a real shame)
