Will it appear on Disney +. For some reason the NFL draft was not on even tho it appeared on ESPN linear networks and Kayo. Some rights issue
That’s because the draft’s broadcast carriage was as follows:
Round 1: ESPN2/Foxtel/Kayo, 7mate/7+, NFL Network/DAZN
Round 2 onwards: Only the latter
And ESPN2 can be selected on Disney Plus. But for some reason it was blacked out.
Part 2 of The Ocho will be shown on Friday, August 8.

Ok if it’s not available in AU/NZ I’m not sure we need the schedule updates.
I see today’s NFL Hall Of Fame Game is coming from the NBC feed on ESPN. Do I dare hope that this, plus the inclusion of the US host broadcast networks in the schedule above, means the NFL have relented and ESPN and Seven can go back to the US domestic feeds this year and won’t have to take that (insert expletives here) world feed we had to suffer through last year?
It’s pre-season, doesn’t count.
ESPN2 Sunday 10th August
2:40 am Feyenoord vs. NAC Breda
4:55 am PSV vs. Sparta Rotterdam
Starting at 2:40am 10 August On ESPN2 will sees the return of European football to the network from the Dutch Eredivisie.
Belgian Jupiter rights have been lost to DANZ which ESPN previously showed almost exclusively on the ESPN App.
It is not available in AU/NZ’s two linear channels is what I meant. Either way, the events have been removed.
That was an explanation of where the game will originate in the U.S. I didn’t explicitly imply that those feeds will be used on ESPN AU/NZ.
With a catch: ESPN linear will broadcast all games live, except any group stage games without AU/NZ playing.
I didn’t realise you’d added that detail in yourself. Thought it might have been in the source material. Thanks for clarifying.
That’s fine - but just keep the schedule updates for the AU/NZ channels/availability. Week to week Schedule changes to US content probably not required here.
ESPN has secured multi-year, expanded rights to NFL Draft, including:
- ESPN and ABC will continue to produce separate telecasts for Friday and Saturday, as is the case since 2019. (For AU/NZ, this may mean on Friday, one feed is on ESPN(2), the other feed is on 7mate.) Both networks will share one common feed on Sunday.
- Broadcast times remain: Friday 10am-1pm, Saturday 9am-1pm, Sunday 2am-9am.
- Dedicated NFL Draft show on ESPN2 most of the time, airing from after Super Bowl to the Draft’s conclusion. Airtime will be revealed early next year.
- Altcasts are now able to be made for all three days.
- College GameDay, NFL Live and ESPN Radio will continue to be on-site in draft days.
- All telecasts and altcasts are available on Disney+ and Hulu.
